We’ve recently witnessed something which never happened in the past sixty-five years. Yep! The long going Korean war which escalated after North and South Korea’s leaders came together and displayed their solidarity over the tensions arising on Korean peninsula.
As a result of this, the war came to an end and made media big time.
Independent wrote, “At a historic summit between leaders Kim Jong-Un and Moon Jae-in, the neighboring countries agreed they would work towards peace on the peninsula with a formal end to the conflict set to be announced later this year. The pair agreed to bring the two countries together and establish a “peace zone” on the contested border.”
This peace agreement can possibly result in a fresh relationship establishment between North and South Korea. In turn, it would give rise to narrative between covert North Korean state and the rest of the planet earth.
What’s more amazing is that there has been a big discussion this afternoon as to how Ethereum Blockchain is used in order to store the peace agreement. This has not only cemented this new relationship among the history books but also in the history of blockchain and that too forever.
This peace agreement is known as Panmunjom Declaration has been place on Ethereum Blockchain by the South Korean Gamer-Developer Ryu Gi-Hyeok.
Gi-heyok told CNN, “Although I was not interested in politics, I was overwhelmed by watching the summit. I just thought it was too long for the South and the North to give each other one step and listen to each other… After finding out what I could do as a developer, I found the Panmunjom Declaration from the Blue House homepage and recorded it on the Ethereum blockchain… The Panmunjom Declaration, written in Ethereum block 551,7596, will not go away unless Ethereum is gone… I wanted to keep the world record of North and South Korea in the world of Crypto.”
Even though the two leaders haven’t use blockchain to sign in the deal with no intentions of storing it as a part of transparent network. One thing that this whole agreement and Ethereum blockchain shows us a unique use of the blockchain technology.
It is indeed not only a storage solution but as a source of history book, it is a true account of real life change and it could impact the world big time.
Robert Johnson who is an author on Crypto Daily says, “It is fascinating to think that such technology could go on to resolve world conflicts, maybe I’m being a bit optimistic here, but I believe what Gi-hyeok has done, is very symbolic of the power of the blockchain revolution. Moreover, I do believe Ethereum will be humbled to be a part of such an iconic time within history, this is exactly the sort of thing the Ethereum Blockchain was designed to facilitate.”
